The MAX comes with 60/40 PowerFold and PowerRecline Third-Row seats, allowing seating to be converted into even more space. It also comes standard with two 3rd-row smart-charging USB ports, making it easier to connect or charge multiple devices.

Also coming standard with the Expedition MAX is a range of comfortable interior features. The first-row seats are heated and ventilated, so the driver and driver’s-side passenger can always ride in comfort. The rear auxiliary climate controls are set for both the second and third rows, so everyone can ride comfortably.

Weighing additional features against the price difference is the easiest way to decide if the MAX is the right fit. 

Realistically, storage is also an issue to consider. If your parking or garage space options are limited, the MAX’s extra 11-inch length can make a world of difference. You’ll want to think of the kind of practical needs that generally come with having an eight-seat SUV. That extra 20 horsepower can seem small, but in certain situations, it can mean the difference between stalling and moving.
